How do I clean my jewelry?

For our 925-sterling-silver-based jewelry pieces, it is best to have your jewelry professionally cleaned by a professional jeweler. However, for a simpler cleaning at home, we recommend mixing delicate soap in lukewarm water, cleaning your jewelry quickly by removing any dirt, and using a soft cloth to dry it up immediately. We do not recommend chemical jewelry cleaners because they can damage certain stones and the finish of the jewelry piece.

Why is the finish on my ring fading?

No surface finish is permanent. Daily wear leads to small scratches on the surface of a polished ring. The accumulation of this wear will eventually make a polished ring look less polished and more matte, or lose its gold plating. Over time, all finishes tend to fade away and will need to be remade. If you would like to refresh your jewelry and make it extra shiny again, a professional jeweler can re-plate or re-polish it for you.

Should I have my gemstone settings checked?

All gemstone rings, especially those with prong settings, should be checked for securityand worn with relative care. We use our hands constantly, and bumps to the stone or metal can cause shifts and looseness. For that reason, they should be worn with extra care and checked frequently to be sure the prongs are tight and the stones are secure.

What do I do if I lost a small stone from my ring?

Stones will occasionally fall out, especially on bands with stones all the way around. You can email us at info@moonrosejewelry.com for more information. We will do our best to help you out 💗 Charges may apply.

How do I best care and maintain my new jewelry purchase?

To help protect the durability and the gold plating of your jewelry, make sure to remove your jewelry when sleeping, when exercising and when taking showers and bathing. We particularly discourage swimming in the sea or in a chlorinated swimming pool with your pieces, and we suggest removing them beforehand and storing them somewhere secure and dry.

We use a thick layer of gold plating for all of our jewelry, however please keep in mind that gold plating lasts the longest when you keep it dry! 

Avoid spraying perfume, applying creams or any other liquids directly onto your jewelry.

Keep your jewelry away from extreme temperatures, humidity or sunlight.

Avoid wearing your jewelry when using bleach, cleaning products and other chemicals.

We highly recommend that you store your jewelry in the MoonRose Jewelry box you receive with every order, or in one or more of our premium Jewelry Cases that are available for purchase on our website. Please do not keep the jewelry in a humid environment (like a bathroom).

Ideally you should store your pieces of jewelry separately, so that they don’t rub together or become tangled. For a light cleaning, gently polish your items with a soft, lint-free cloth to avoid scratching.

Do you offer a warranty on the jewelry I purchase from MoonRose Jewelry?

Yes. In staying true to our high standards of customer satisfaction, we offer a 5-month guarantee to protect against manufacturer defects. The warranty does not include normal wear and tear or damages incurred due to trauma, negligence, lack of regular maintenance, loss, or theft. We will evaluate each case that is presented to us.
